Most of the basic parameters that effect the formation of Chart are here in the General Section. Be sure to review all the parameters here when setting up a New Chart to ensure that the basic parameters matches what you want. There are many basic parameters, the meaning of each parameter is explained on their tooltip, and they are easy to understand.
- The table below list the important fields and its meaning which you need to enter when you create a Chart.
|Chart Title||Title (Name) of the Chart. Type the title for the Chart|
Set to show / hide Chart Title.
You can also apply the text formatting to the chart title like Bold, Italics, Font size, Font Family, Text Color.
You can also set the language of the chart title according to you.
|Published||Set this Chart status to Published/Unpublished.|
Set the Chart Width and Height. You can give the dimensions in either in “px” or “%”
Set the formatting for the Chart Background like Background Color, Stroke Color and Stroke Width.
You can also make the Chart Background to Transparent.
Set an Image in Chart Background. You can set the option either “Chart Div” to show the image in the background of the Chart Div or “Chart Area” to show the image in the background of Chart Area.
|Select Chart Type||
Choose the Chart Type from the Dropdown List that you want to draw. We have already listed out the Types of Charts you can make using vChart in this document. For e.g. if you want to create the “Column Charts” so you will have to select “Column Charts” from the List
Depending upon the Chart Type, Additional Dynamic Fields under “Axes Parameters” will be added to this form to gather the appropriate Data for generating the Chart.
|Chart data options||
Set the Chart data option from where you want to get the Chart Data. You can set option according to your need.
