    The first thing you need to do is to create a Profile before performing Data Export Process. (For example we are describing steps to Export Joomla Users).
  • To create an Export type Profiles, go to vData > Profiles (or go to Dashboard and click on Profiles link in sub-menu).
  • Click on “New” Button on the Toolbar.
  • Set the Title of the Profile.
  • Select “Export” option from the Type Dropdown.

    NOTE Based on this option, some fields for additional settings will be displayed. You can also choose“Import” in creating Import Profile.

  • Uncheck the “Quick Import/Export” checkbox as we are going to create a profile with custom settings.

    NOTE Check the “Quick Import/Export” checkbox if you want to make a profile of Quick Mode with default settings. Some additional fields based on this option will be displayed further.

  • Choose “Custom” Plugin from this AJAX based plugin list of vData.

    NOTE Some additional fields based on this option will be displayed further.

  • Choose a “User Table i.e. #__users” from the table list from which you want to Export the Data.
  • Set “ID” column of selected table as Primary Unique Column. Now you can select multiple columns as Primary / Unique Key
  • Set “ID” column to Group the result-set.
  • Set “ID” column in Order By to apply ordering on result-set.

    NOTE you can also user other column for ordering the result-set. E.g. “Order By ASC” or “Order By DESC”

  • Set your desired option with each column of selected table. You can include or exclude the particular column of the selected table. You can define a custom value for a particular column value. You can also assign the value through a reference of another table
  • ID: Include ID column which is a primary key of a specific record.

    NOTE You can also skip this field by selecting “skip” option.

  • Name: Include name column.
  • Username: Include Username.

    NOTE required field for User Registration in Joomla

  • Email: Include Email.

    NOTE required field for User Registration in Joomla

  • Password: Include Password if password NOTE Password will be exported in encrypted form. You can also skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • Block: Include Block. It is used to block or unblock a user in joomla.
  • SendEmail: Include SendEmail.
  • RegisterDate: Include RegisterDate.
  • LastvisitDate: Include LastvisitDate.
  • Activation: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • Params: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • LastResetTime: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • ResetCount: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • OtpKey: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • Otep: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • RequireReset: Skip this field by selecting “skip” option.
  • Join Tables: Make a join to usergroupmap table to fetch the groupID and then join to usergroups table by selecting “Reference To” to fetch some more information of User Group e.g. usergroup title

Steps to Export User’s Data from Database table into different Data Source

Click on Save or Save & Close button to save the Profile.

After creating Export Profile, go to to vData => Export (or go to Dashboard and click on Export link in sub-menu).

  • Choose “User Export” profile from the list which we created recently.
  • Set “CSV” option as Data Format. In this case we are exporting data to a CSV file.

    NOTE we can directly export data to a local/remote database by choosing “Database” option as Data Format.

  • Set “Download file” option from the list as we are going to direct download the exported file. NOTE We can also export the data to file either on Local or Remote Server by providing a path to exported file.

    Click on Continue button for further setting to export Data.

  • You can email your exported data file by setting this option to “Enable” state. If you enabled this option, then some additional fields would be display to take some additional information. You can enter multiple email addresses by comma separated. Also, you can enter CC email address as well as BCC email address. You can also set the email subject and email body as per your need.

Steps to Export User’s Data from Database table into different Data Source

Note: Email Export File feature will not work for if you select “Database” in Data Format Field.

  • vData set the CSV file column value corresponding to table column. Further you can set which data from the Data Source Column will go to which column of your Exported File.
